Job Description
CAD/Revit specialist designing commercial kitchen layouts and mechanical drawings for Singer Equipment Company. Collaborating with architects, engineers, clients, and vendors to deliver construction-ready kitchen documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Create accurate and operationally efficient commercial kitchen layouts and equipment specifications using CAD and Revit
- Collaborate with internal and external customers, architects, and engineers to integrate kitchen designs into facility plans
- Prepare detailed KEC drawings, specifications, and construction and installation documentation
- Prepare mechanical drawings, including electrical and plumbing rough-ins based on estimator cutbooks
- Participate in meetings and provide design input and project updates
- Modify designs based on client feedback, site conditions, and project changes
- Distribute drawings to outside vendors for quoting
- Stay informed about kitchen equipment and technology trends to provide innovative client solutions
- Review designs for accuracy and completeness as part of quality assurance
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with internal and external constituents
Requirements:
- High school diploma with technical training in CAD drafting and design
- 2–4 years of experience in the food service industry
- 1–2 years of experience with Microsoft Office
- 2–4 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and design
- 1–2 years of experience with AutoCAD 2010
- 1–2 years of experience with Revit or 3D Studios Max
- 1–2 years of experience with AutoQuotes commercial kitchen industry software
- Knowledge of drafting and drawing formatting standards
- Knowledge of mechanical drafting
- Strong understanding of commercial kitchen design principles and foodservice operations
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, team environment
