Job Description
Change Management Project Manager leading pre-deployment change management efforts for VA Electronic Health Record system. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution in a large-scale health IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support pre-deployment and early deployment change management activities across VISNs and VAMCs
- Coordinate and support onboarding workshops for VISN and VAMC stakeholders
- Support Change Leadership Team (CLT) roles and related change management activities during pre-deployment
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to track schedules, identify risks and issues, and support mitigation efforts
- Plan and facilitate large-scale, executive-level meetings, including agenda development and stakeholder coordination
- Coordinate onsite meeting logistics at VA medical centers, including scheduling, materials, and logistics support
- Create, manage, and maintain meeting materials, artifacts, and documentation
- Capture lessons learned through surveys, feedback, and event insights, and incorporate findings into future planning and execution
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- Experience managing Information Technology–related projects
- Strong knowledge of project life cycle and project management methodologies
- Experience tracking project costs, schedules, and performance metrics
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Experience supporting VA programs (preferred)
- Experience implementing Electronic Health Record systems (preferred)
- Experience with change management and communications (preferred)
- Prosci certification preferred
- Proactive and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
