Job Description
Project Manager leading ITDG Operations portfolio within Veterans Affairs. Coordinating complex projects and managing stakeholder interactions to improve operational initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support project and program management activities across the ITDG Operations portfolio
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, timelines, milestones, action trackers, and portfolio status reporting across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Coordinate across operational, technical, and leadership stakeholders supporting research systems, data governance, reporting, and enterprise operational initiatives
- Track deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items to support timely execution of operational and technical initiatives
- Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, presentations, briefings, and status updates to support leadership visibility and decision-making
- Facilitate recurring meetings, document decisions and follow-up actions, and ensure coordination and accountability across stakeholders
- Support operational oversight and reporting activities related to enterprise research technology operations and governance initiatives
- Support implementation and improvement of operational processes, workflow coordination mechanisms, and reporting structures across the ITDG Operations portfolio
- Translate complex technical and operational information into clear summaries and communications for executive and non-technical audiences
- Support use and optimization of project management and operational tools including Microsoft Office 365, ServiceNow, Power BI, MS Project, SharePoint, and related platforms
- Identify operational gaps, execution risks, and opportunities for process improvement across interdependent workstreams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, information systems, healthcare administration, project management, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience supporting project management, program management, or operational coordination activities in a complex organization
- Experience managing multiple concurrent, cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, trackers, dashboards, and executive reporting materials
- Experience supporting operational or technical initiatives involving enterprise systems, reporting, governance, or data-related workflows
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience synthesizing technical and operational information for executive leadership audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
- Experience using ServiceNow, Power BI, MS Project, or similar project and operational management platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
