Job Description
Board-certified Clinical Pathologist delivering veterinary diagnostic reporting for Zoetis’s VPG laboratory service. Supporting client education, research, and pathology service development.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate, high-quality and timely reporting and interpretation of laboratory submissions, including cytology, haematology, biochemistry, serology and microbiology
- Provide Point of Care diagnostic support
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Pathologist group and VPG
- Interact with laboratory teams and support day-to-day diagnostic operations
- Respond promptly, professionally and clearly to telephone calls, emails and client or laboratory enquiries
- Develop understanding of VPG’s client-facing portal, internal LIMS, request codes and expected turnaround times
- Contribute to client education, business development, marketing, projects and internal/external research
- Attend regular Pathologist, laboratory and VPG meetings
- Maintain and role-model VPG’s values and behaviours
- Work closely with the Head of Clinical Pathology and Associate Director of Pathology (UK & Ireland)
Requirements:
- Board certification in Clinical Pathology — ACVP or ECVP
- Good computer skills
- Strong commitment to diagnostic quality, customer service and professional standards
- Previous experience working in a diagnostic laboratory setting is desirable
- Complete all statutory, mandatory and essential training within required timeframes
- Maintain ongoing competency
- Maintain professional standards through continued professional development (CPD), supporting MRCVS, Board Certified and Specialist status
