Job Description
Community Connector building Jewish relationships, gatherings, and micro-communities for Palm Beach County Federation. Strengthening belonging and engagement throughout Jewish Palm Beach.
Responsibilities:
- Build genuine relationships with unique micro-communities
- Welcome new individuals into the community and help them feel included
- Check in, follow up, and nurture ongoing connections
- Make warm hand-offs by connecting people to others, programs, and resources
- Host or invite people to meaningful gatherings and Jewish experiences
- Create low-barrier opportunities for people to meet and build relationships
- Deliver monthly Shalom Neighbor experiences
- Bring Jewish traditions, holidays, and meaningful moments into everyday life
- Cultivate connection through Federation-created WhatsApp groups, social media, and ongoing communication
- Share helpful resources, programs, and opportunities throughout Jewish Palm Beach
- Document relationships and engagement through Federation-approved systems
Requirements:
- One-year commitment
- Develop and maintain four family or parent relationships per month, including two new relationships and two continued relationships
- Facilitate 12 community meet-ups or experiences per year
- Complete one Shalom Neighbor experience per month
- Submit weekly activity and engagement reports
- Participate in monthly check-ins with the Community Connections Engagement Officer
- Complete required deliverables and reporting
- Focus may be on Young Adults, LGBTQIA+ individuals, Grandparents, Jewish Learning, or other demographic, geographic, and interest-based communities throughout Jewish Palm Beach
