Job Description
Controller overseeing accounting operations for Harbor Compliance, ensuring accuracy and scalability. Leading financial reporting, cash management, and mentoring the accounting team.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full accounting and financial reporting function
- Lead the migration from QuickBooks to NetSuite
- Build and scale accounting infrastructure
- Establish and maintain month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Drive technical accounting for complex revenue recognition matters
- Serve as the finance lead for sale process readiness
- Partner with external auditors
- Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting team
Requirements:
- CPA with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3–5 years as Controller or Assistant Controller
- Big 4 or large regional firm background preferred
- Direct experience in private equity-backed companies and SaaS/recurring revenue businesses
- Led NetSuite or similar mid-market ERP implementations
- Deep technical expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition and acquisition accounting
- Hands-on experience supporting M&A and sale processes
- Strong communicator capable of translating complex accounting matters for executives, PE sponsors, and boards
