Job Description

Customer Service Representative I addressing patient and member inquiries for Sentara Health. Managing billing information, payment plans, and claim-related issues remotely in Virginia.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all areas of customer service regarding research and resolution of telephone inquiries from members or patients.
  • Handle incoming calls to effectively address issues related to member eligibility, plan prescription benefits, and claim payment issues or patient services needs.
  • Update billing information, establish payment plans, resolve payment inquiries, or assist with patient scheduling.
  • Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED
  • 2 years Customer Service experience REQUIRED
  • Previous Data Entry Experience REQUIRED
  • Call center experience highly preferred
  • Healthcare background preferred (pre-authorization, insurance eligibility, referrals, billing, claims)
  • EPIC experience is a plus
