Job Description
Customer Service Representative I addressing patient and member inquiries for Sentara Health. Managing billing information, payment plans, and claim-related issues remotely in Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all areas of customer service regarding research and resolution of telephone inquiries from members or patients.
- Handle incoming calls to effectively address issues related to member eligibility, plan prescription benefits, and claim payment issues or patient services needs.
- Update billing information, establish payment plans, resolve payment inquiries, or assist with patient scheduling.
- Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED
- 2 years Customer Service experience REQUIRED
- Previous Data Entry Experience REQUIRED
- Call center experience highly preferred
- Healthcare background preferred (pre-authorization, insurance eligibility, referrals, billing, claims)
- EPIC experience is a plus
