Job Description
Cybersecurity Associate Internship helping secure government and intelligence projects for GDIT's Summer Internship Program. Collaborating with professionals and enhancing skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work side-by-side with GDIT professionals delivering work for clients
- Collaborate with a team of peers to research and propose solutions to business challenges
- Participate in a mentoring circle led by an early career champion
- Interact with GDIT leaders
- Participate in professional development
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all data and systems
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in computer science, IT, engineering, or other STEM field
- 1+ years of related experience
- Pursuing a certification in the field of cyber security (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, Information Assurance, or Certified Ethical Hacker)
- Basic knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in engineering, information systems, and related technical support
- Basic knowledge of related hardware and software
- Basic understanding of data manipulation of Indicators of Compromise (IOC’s)
- Basic understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Basic understanding of Vulnerability Management (Vulnerability Scanning and Patching)
- Basic understanding of Information Assurance
