Job Description
Data Center EPG Traveling Technician for Peterson Power Systems. Responsible for installation and commissioning of EPG equipment across customer locations in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and commissioning to Electrical Power Generation (EPG) equipment at designated customer locations throughout the United States.
- Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules.
- Promote and work in a manner consistent with Contamination Control guidelines.
- Support company safety and housekeeping standards.
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a manner that promotes a positive relationship.
- Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Perform pre-delivery setup, installation, and start-up on all makes and models of Caterpillar engines, generators, and related products.
- Repair, replace, and rebuild engines and related systems and components of Cat and Non-Cat products in Industrial and EPG applications.
- Write service reports that accurately document activities.
- Operate company, rental, or personal vehicle as needed to transport parts and equipment and perform other field service duties.
- Travel up to 100% of the time to meet customer service requirements.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree from a fully accredited college or certificate from technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in power generation or engine service, preferably in a heavy industrial environment
- Completion of a certified electrical safety course
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
