Job Description
Data Scientist building Azure AI/ML data infrastructure for Molex’s electronics engineering platform. Structuring simulation data, validating models, and monitoring data health.
Responsibilities:
- Own the data backbone of the Azure-based AI/ML engineering platform
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
- Structure engineering design parameters and simulation results for ML use
- Perform statistical and exploratory analysis to identify design parameters driving performance outcomes
- Validate model outputs against ground-truth simulation results
- Flag data quality issues that could bias downstream models
- Track model and pipeline performance over time
- Build Power BI dashboards to provide visibility into data and model health
- Apply design of experiments principles to sample the design space efficiently
- Work closely with ML engineers, LLM engineers, and MLOps teams
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience building and validating AI/ML models
- 10+ years in a data science role, ideally with engineering, simulation, or scientific/experimental data
- Strong Python, including pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn
- Strong SQL
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, or an equivalent cloud data stack
- Solid grounding in hypothesis testing, regression, design of experiments (DOE), and variance/sensitivity analysis
- Experience with data visualization/dashboarding tools such as Power BI or similar
