Job Description
Dental insurance eligibility verifier supporting U.S. dental clinics. Verifying patient coverage, procedures, and billing details for dental practices from home.
Responsibilities:
- Join the Dental Insurance Billing/Collections Team handling billing, collections, and payment posting services for dental clinics and service providers in the United States
- Confirm dental insurance eligibility via web portal, fax back, and phone call
- Gather patient eligibility for specific dental procedures, including coverage percentages, history, frequency limitations, and billing guidelines
- Enter eligibility information in the dental clinic's Practice Management System
- Work with the dental clinic in real time to verify eligibility of walk-in patients and specific diagnosed procedures
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years as a Dental Insurance Eligibility Verifier
- Familiarity with Dental Insurance policy types, PPO, HMO, MediCal
- Ability to navigate one or more major Dental Practice Management systems, specifically scheduling, patient demographics, and insurance information
- Procedural understanding of general dentistry procedures
- Strong accuracy, attentiveness to detail, and time management skills
- Data entry skills (40 WPM or better)
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
- Willingness to work in shifting schedules, mostly night shift
- Able to work from home with reliable internet and a backup connection
