Job Description

Derivatives Counsel providing expert legal advice and support in derivatives and OTC trading compliance. Collaborating on documentation and regulatory initiatives within the financial services sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, Master Confirmation Agreements, and other derivatives trading documents.
  • Providing legal guidance on derivatives transactions, collateral management, and OTC trading compliance.
  • Collaborating with trading desks, Front Office, Legal, Compliance, and Credit teams on derivatives transactions and regulatory initiatives.
  • Managing legal, risk, and compliance issues for clients in the derivatives and financial services sector.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and global derivatives rules to provide proactive counsel.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in derivatives, capital markets, or trading documentation legal work
  • Strong knowledge of ISDA agreements, CSA, and global OTC derivatives regulations
  • Proven track record of advising clients on derivatives documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, technology, and problem-solving skills
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law; New York Bar admission preferred
