Job Description

Designer creating AutoCAD/Revit drawings for Singer H&R’s food service equipment projects. Supporting project administration, coordination, documentation, revisions, and field measurements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop drawings and documentation using computer-aided drafting software to support assigned project teams
  • Operate associated plotters and printers
  • Review food service equipment plans, equipment cut sheets, custom fabrication drawings, mechanical plans, and architectural plans
  • Coordinate with contractors, designers, technicians, and other project stakeholders to incorporate information into drawing packages
  • Assemble and distribute project documentation, including spec sheet books, plans, and equipment specifications
  • Perform administrative duties supporting estimating, operations, and business development projects
  • Assist with reviewing equipment quotes and manufacturer shop drawings and incorporate requirements into drawings
  • Maintain documentation for coordination and scope-of-work changes, including generating and tracking revisions
  • Assist with obtaining field measurements
  • Attend project meetings as required
  • Communicate internally and externally regarding project issues and changes
  • Execute work according to SINGER processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of experience using AutoCAD and Revit, preferably in food service equipment or construction industries
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience using AutoQuotes is a plus
  • Ability to measure and document field conditions using words, dimensions, and sketches
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work successfully with others
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, precision, and strong organization
  • Flexible schedule; overtime and weekends may be necessary and required
