Job Description
VDC specialist designing exceptional restaurant spaces for Singer H&R using Revit, BIM, and coordination platforms. Supporting project setup, clash detection, and resolution of construction coordination issues.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Singer Hub on Forma, including folders and permissions for different divisions
- Create a BIM Execution Plan for Singer H&R
- Support VDC projects through project setup, BIM modeling, rough-ins, and technical support
- Attend VDC/BIM kick-off calls to establish expectations and timelines
- Analyze hosts’ BIM Execution Plans and configure projects accordingly
- Participate in BIM Coordination Meetings with Project Managers
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks and Revizto when required
- Collaborate with internal and external project teams to resolve coordination issues
- Stay current with Autodesk Forma and other BIM coordination platforms
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Technical Degree in Drafting, CADD, or applicable field of study required
- Bachelor’s degree in design preferred
- Minimum 5 years of previous work experience in foodservice equipment design
- Mechanical systems experience preferred
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, AutoCAD, and MS Office required
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- General math skills and ability to read blueprints and plans
- Basic understanding of general construction practice
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow project schedules
- Motivation and self-drive required to complete tasks
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and work on more than one project at once
