Job Description

DevOps Engineer building secure, scalable cloud applications for Career Team’s Career EDGE workforce-development platform. Managing AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, containers, and full-stack services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust full-stack applications using Node.js, MongoDB, Next.js, and Nest.js
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and YAML
  • Containerize and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Implement scalable DevOps solutions using AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
  • Build secure and robust web applications following security standards and protocols
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architectural decisions for scalability and performance
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Solve complex real-time problems while ensuring performance and reliability
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions for system health and performance
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and continuously optimize for speed, scalability, and security
  • Help architect highly available and resilient systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or engineering
  • 2+ years of experience developing with Node.js/MERN stack or equivalent
  • 2+ years of core web application development experience covering front-end and back-end
  • 2+ years of CI/CD and/or DevOps-related work experience
  • Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation
  • Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions
  • Working experience with YAML for configuration management
  • Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Proficiency with Git and GitHub
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience in secure software development and architecture
  • Familiarity with security best practices and protocols
  • Exposure to VSCode, Postman, Jira, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch or ELK Stack
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective collaboration and communication abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Experience working on Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification
  • AWS certifications, serverless architecture, microservices, networking/security, performance optimization, and open-source participation are preferred
  • PHP experience is a strong plus
