Job Description
Digital Marketing Strategist executing marketing strategies across paid search and social media for Cox Automotive. Collaborating with teams to drive client satisfaction and retention through data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute paid digital marketing initiatives including Google and Microsoft search, various social media platforms, and display/video strategies for assigned products or product areas.
- Tailor advertising content to specific platforms and target audiences to maximize engagement.
- Ad copy and asset updates, working with clients on consistent messaging across channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Analytics, Innovation, Support, and Advertising Operations to ensure seamless execution and performance tracking.
- Learn and become an expert in analytics dashboards, management software, and partner platforms (Google, Meta, etc.) to monitor campaign effectiveness and support continuous improvement through data analysis.
- Share insights and performance reports with clients and leadership, highlighting cross-channel effectiveness and audience responsiveness.
- Lead monthly phone calls with clients and their teams for performance reporting, while fielding client questions and requests.
- Stay current on industry trends and competitor strategies to inform marketing initiatives.
- Execute and manage end-to-end digital advertising campaigns across Search, Display, Social, and Display/Video platforms.
- Analyze advertising performance and translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Conduct keyword research, ad creation, audience targeting, and performance tracking to optimize campaigns.
- Monitor account performance and make independent decisions to adjust tactics and allocations.
- Provide monthly performance reporting and monthly strategic performance review calls to clients via video meetings and email, in conjunction with other internal team members who support the same accounts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advertising issues, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with Sales and/or Performance Management teams to support new product opportunities and overcome client objections.
- Track all client interactions, optimizations, and decisions to maintain a clear audit trail and documentation in Salesforce.
Requirements:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in client services, account management, or another customer-facing role where client interaction (particularly over the phone) is a priority.
- At least 1 year of experience in digital advertising (SEM, social media, display/video channels) and/or similar digital marketing functions.
- Strong understanding of SEM, website/advertising analytics, and digital content strategy.
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Microsoft Ads, Meta Business Manager, Fluency’s Backpack, and Salesforce/SFX.
- Outlook email and calendar management skills are highly important.
- Preferred: Google and Microsoft certifications (Search, Display, Shopping, Video, etc.) preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
