Job Description
Digital Product Owner advancing AACN's nursing organization digital experiences and annual critical-care conference products. Leading strategy, roadmaps, Agile delivery, launches, and continuous optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute digital product ownership and delivery aligned with organizational goals
- Develop and refine product strategy based on business goals and market trends
- Define and maintain product roadmaps with milestones, features, and deliverables
- Conduct market, user feedback, and competitive analysis to define product requirements
- Create and prioritize actionable user stories aligned with product vision
- Lead Agile execution, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews
- Collaborate across design, engineering, and marketing teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Engage internal and external stakeholders, gather feedback, manage expectations, and drive alignment
- Lead product launches, analyze performance metrics, and optimize product value and customer experience
- Monitor trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to identify innovation opportunities
- Govern product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and technical specifications
- Work independently with ownership and accountability; perform other duties as required
- Support digital experiences for AACN's annual NTI conference and potentially other product experiences
- Travel occasionally as necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project/product management and business analysis
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role with successful digital product delivery
- Strong understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies and product management best practices
- Strong project management and business analysis skills, including product backlog creation and maintenance
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to define product strategy and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps
- Experience conducting market research, analyzing user feedback, and evaluating competitive landscapes
- Expertise leading Agile processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews
- Proficiency with project/product management tools and software, including Azure, Azure Boards and DevOps, SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Google Suite: Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Forms
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and exercise discretion and accountability
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of prototyping tools such as Sketch or Figma is a plus
- MBA is a plus
- Occasional travel required
- Physical ability to perform prolonged desk work, frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, typing, and mouse use
- Sufficient visual acuity and auditory ability to read screens/materials and comprehend spoken communication
