Job Description

Director of Brand & Product Design building AI-ready brand identities, product experiences, and design systems for Human Agency's AI strategy consultancy. Leading client engagements from exploration through developer-ready implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead client brand identity work from concept through final delivery
  • Make and defend decisions about typography, color, motion, and voice
  • Build design systems from the ground up, including components, documentation, and governance
  • Ensure design systems are usable by engineers, legible to AI tooling, and maintainable by client teams
  • Own end-to-end web and product design from information architecture and interaction patterns through final specifications
  • Use AI tools across design exploration, iteration, and systemization
  • Share AI workflow learnings with the team
  • Present and defend design decisions to client stakeholders
  • Translate visual and systems rationale for non-designers
  • Collaborate with engineers, strategists, and AI practitioners on implementable handoffs across multiple client engagements

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of design experience with meaningful work on both brand identity and digital product
  • Portfolio including at least one design system built from scratch, starting from a brand identity
  • Demonstrable fluency in Figma, including variables, auto layout, and component architecture
  • Track record of shipping brand identities and web experiences for clients or products people use
  • Current, working knowledge of AI tools applied to design workflows
  • Strong grasp of front-end constraints, including HTML, CSS, design tokens, and component-based development
  • Experience in a consultancy, agency, or multi-client environment
  • Ability to work Eastern time zone hours with real-time team overlap
  • Based in the United States or Canada
