Job Description
Director leading MGM Resorts’ cloud engineering, platform automation, and developer experience services. Driving secure, scalable infrastructure and digital transformation across enterprise IT.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Platform Services team to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions aligned with enterprise technology goals
- Define and implement platform engineering strategies using containerization, including Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and automation at scale
- Develop and maintain deployment automation pipelines to accelerate and stabilize software delivery
- Drive secure, cost-effective, and resilient multi-cloud infrastructure through cloud engineering best practices
- Manage cloud landing zones for consistent, automated provisioning and governance
- Oversee platform operations with an SRE mindset, ensuring observability, reliability, and robust incident response
- Champion a seamless developer experience through self-service tools and streamlined environments
- Lead team development, vendor relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to support continuous innovation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of leadership experience in cloud engineering and operations within large-scale, complex enterprise environments
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with deep expertise in cloud services, infrastructure, and platform operations
- Proven experience collaborating with infrastructure and application delivery teams to design and implement integrated, scalable IT solutions
- Professional cloud computing certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect
- Demonstrated success implementing automation within cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools
- Strong background in technical project management, strategic planning, and leading digital transformation initiatives in cloud-first or hybrid IT organizations
