Job Description

Director of Product at Take Profit Trader shaping product direction, business requirements, and platform evolution in a fast-moving fintech environment. Collaborating with executive leadership and technical teams for alignment on product initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute what needs to be built and why it needs to be built for roadmap planning purposes across customer-facing platforms, backend systems, CRM tools, and risk management systems in alignment with company priorities and executive direction.
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership, technical program management, operations, and executive stakeholders to align on priorities, business requirements, and execution planning.
  • Drive product discovery, requirement gathering, workflow design, and feature definition across multiple departments and business functions.
  • Translate complex operational, trading, and business requirements into clear product specifications, business logic, and development priorities.
  • Contribute to prioritization discussions across product initiatives by balancing business impact, scalability, operational efficiency, customer experience, and technical considerations.
  • Improve internal processes and platform workflows through automation opportunities, tooling improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Work closely with support, compliance, finance, and trading operations teams to identify operational pain points, inefficiencies, and product improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in sprint planning, product planning discussions, release coordination, and stakeholder communication to ensure alignment between business objectives and development efforts.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, platform usage metrics, operational performance indicators, and customer experience metrics to support product decision-making.
  • Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to improve reporting visibility, operational insights, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor and industry research across prop trading, brokerage, fintech, and trading technology markets to identify product gaps, opportunities, and emerging trends.
  • Monitor competitor platforms, features, pricing models, user experience, and operational workflows to help inform product recommendations and strategic direction.
  • Participate in both short-term and long-term product roadmap planning aligned with business priorities, operational efficiency, platform scalability, and customer experience goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend roadmap adjustments based on company objectives, customer feedback, analytics, operational needs, and market developments.
  • Work closely with executive leadership and the CTO to help define what should be built and why, while partnering with the technical program management and engineering teams on execution planning and delivery coordination.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of product management experience in SaaS, fintech, trading, brokerage, or other highly technical environments.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Candidates must have prior experience working within proprietary trading, brokerage, trading technology, fintech, or other closely related financial markets environments.
  • Strong understanding of trading workflows, trading platforms, risk systems, and operational processes within trading or brokerage environments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional product initiatives and working closely with executive, operational, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, backend systems, APIs, integrations, and platform architecture concepts.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile development environments.
  • Strong ability to translate business problems, operational processes, and customer needs into structured product requirements and technical workflows.
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities across operational, technical, and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to operate effectively in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across executive, operational, and technical teams.
  • Experience defining KPIs, operational metrics, and product success measurements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to product decision-making.
  • Experience conducting competitor research, market analysis, and product discovery within fast-moving industries.
