Job Description
Director of Strategy & Operations at Akamai API Security connecting product innovation and operational efficiency. Partnering across teams to drive product enablement and monitor core business metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with Product and R&D leaders to build enablement plans, content, and frameworks for go-to-market teams.
- Establishing and tracking key execution metrics that reveal operational health and strategic progress across the business.
- Driving cost-reduction frameworks across cloud compute infrastructure while aligning resource allocation with corporate budget limits.
- Monitoring organizational AI usage, tracking consumption models, and implementing efficiency initiatives that optimize spend and ROI.
- Operating the planning rhythm across quarterly objectives, executive reviews, and cross-functional initiative tracking.
- Translating high-level strategy into concrete, measurable deliverables owned by accountable cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Have 7+ years of progressive experience in Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, FinOps, or related leadership roles.
- Have a proven track record of building alignment across deeply technical teams and commercial business units.
- Have practical experience overseeing technical infrastructure budgets, including cloud compute across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Have hands-on familiarity with modern AI and LLM consumption costs and associated efficiency frameworks.
- Be skilled in operational planning and project management, translating strategy into concrete and measurable deliverables.
- Have a collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
