Job Description

Domain Consultant guiding New Jersey customers through network security and zero trust transformation. Designing solutions and supporting Palo Alto Networks’ cybersecurity sales engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in customers’ network security and zero trust journeys
  • Define technical solutions that secure customers’ key business imperatives
  • Evangelize Palo Alto Networks’ on-premises, cloud and security services
  • Collaborate with sales teams to recommend and develop customer solutions
  • Present as a technical expert to customers from practitioners to senior leadership
  • Lead and support customer demonstrations
  • Lead prospective customer and partner technical validation projects
  • Architect solutions that strengthen and simplify customers’ security posture
  • Document high-level designs and key use cases
  • Lead conversations about industry trends and changes in the security landscape
  • Discuss product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation
  • Serve as the main technical point of contact for Network Security and support RFI/RFP responses
  • Position Palo Alto Networks or partner-delivered services for implementation and value realization
  • Discuss competitive marketplace offerings and position Palo Alto Networks as the best alternative
  • Collaborate with global teams and support customer meetings that may require travel

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in pre-sales/sales engineering within Zero Trust, Networking, Network Security, SaaS Security or SSE/SASE
  • Experience with L2-L4 Networking, including L2 switching architectures, Spanning Tree, VLANs/trunking, IP routing, static routes, OSPF, BGP, route redistribution, and L4 load-balancing
  • Outstanding customer communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with customers, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
  • Solid understanding of NGFW, Network Security, SASE, SD-WAN, CASB, Proxy, DLP and BYOD solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of on-premise and cloud-delivered network security technologies
  • Proficient in English
  • Ability to support in-person customer meetings; travel requirements may be required
