Job Description
Part-time remote General Physician providing primary-care teleconsultations through Arogyapath 2.0. Assessing patients, prescribing treatment, identifying red flags, and coordinating referrals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct teleconsultations through the Arogyapath 2.0 WhatsApp pathway
- Review patient registration details, symptoms, medical history, and available clinical information
- Assess patients within the scope and limitations of telemedicine
- Communicate clearly and empathically with patients
- Diagnose and manage common medical conditions within scope of practice
- Review vital signs, reports, images, and other patient information
- Prescribe medicines, investigations, or other treatment when clinically appropriate and legally permissible
- Provide medication, dosage, duration, precautions, and follow-up instructions
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare and healthy practices
- Identify red flags and advise emergency care or hospital referral when required
- Refer patients to appropriate specialists and provide follow-up recommendations
- Maintain accurate and complete electronic consultation records
- Document complaints, history, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, investigations, referrals, and follow-up
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with data-protection requirements
- Review follow-up cases, monitor continued-care patients, and escalate worsening conditions
- Follow clinical protocols, SOPs, telemedicine guidelines, prescription and documentation standards
- Participate in clinical audits, quality reviews, and case discussions
- Report clinical, technical, or patient-safety incidents
- Support continuous improvement of the WhatsApp consultation pathway
Requirements:
- MBBS from a recognized medical institution
- Valid medical registration with the applicable medical council/authority
- 1-5 years experience in General Practice / Primary Care preferred
- Previous experience in telemedicine or digital healthcare will be an advantage
- Experience handling patients through digital healthcare platforms is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent typing and verbal communication
- Ability to communicate medical information in simple, patient-friendly language
- Good digital literacy
- Strong documentation skills
- Patient-centered approach
- Ability to recognize clinical red flags
- Strong referral and escalation judgment
- Professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality
