Job Description

E-commerce Assistant supporting UK-based online retail clients in a fully remote role from South Africa. Training is provided for this entry-level position in online business and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Uploading and updating product listings on platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Amazon
  • Writing and editing product descriptions for accuracy and SEO optimisation
  • Processing customer orders, refunds, and exchanges in a timely manner
  • Responding to customer enquiries via email and live chat
  • Monitoring stock levels and flagging low inventory to the relevant team
  • Assisting with promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal sales
  • Maintaining accurate product data, pricing, and imagery across platforms

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Strong written English with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable navigating online platforms, spreadsheets, and digital tools
  • Good time management and the ability to work independently
  • An interest in e-commerce, online retail, or digital marketing
  • No prior experience required — training is fully included
