Job Description
E-commerce Assistant supporting UK-based online retail clients in a fully remote role from South Africa. Training is provided for this entry-level position in online business and customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Uploading and updating product listings on platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Amazon
- Writing and editing product descriptions for accuracy and SEO optimisation
- Processing customer orders, refunds, and exchanges in a timely manner
- Responding to customer enquiries via email and live chat
- Monitoring stock levels and flagging low inventory to the relevant team
- Assisting with promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal sales
- Maintaining accurate product data, pricing, and imagery across platforms
Requirements:
- Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
- Strong written English with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable navigating online platforms, spreadsheets, and digital tools
- Good time management and the ability to work independently
- An interest in e-commerce, online retail, or digital marketing
- No prior experience required — training is fully included
