Job Description
Dutch Translator adapting English copy into Dutch while preserving meaning, format, and tone. Remote part-time role for an eCommerce marketing agency with flexible weekly availability.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret written pieces from English to Dutch while maintaining original meaning, format, and tone
- Read and thoroughly understand the context of copy
- Use specialized dictionaries and translation tools
- Proofread finished pieces of work
- Identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
- Complete a quick test after successful application-form submission
Requirements:
- Native Dutch Speaker
- Availability of at least 3-5 hours a week
- Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter, or similar role
- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
- Good knowledge of content editing tools
- Familiarity with translation software
- Time-management skills
- Fluent in English in addition to native language
Benefits:
- For the first 6 months, payment per hour
- Time spent researching, brainstorming, and proofreading is counted for compensation
- Aim for a 10% increment in the first year working with us
