Job Description
Email Copywriter at Contour Education, enhancing clarity and engagement in communications. Writing impactful copy for operational, billing, and marketing communications at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Write new email copy for operational, transactional, and marketing use cases
- Edit and improve existing email templates to increase clarity, readability, and effectiveness
- Draft transactional emails such as confirmations, reminders, schedule updates, and system notifications
- Write marketing and sales emails including onboarding sequences, lifecycle emails, re-engagement campaigns, and announcements
- Support billing-related communication by simplifying financial information and making it easy for parents to understand and act on
- Adapt tone and structure based on the audience, purpose, and stage of the student journey
- Collaborate closely with operations, sales, and marketing teams to understand context and intent
- Maintain consistency across email templates, sequences, and messaging standards
- Review emails carefully for grammar, structure, tone, and clarity before release
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in email copywriting, marketing communications, or similar roles
- Strong written English with a focus on clarity, tone, and structure
- Ability to write and edit emails for different audiences and purposes
- Comfort working with templates, briefs, and structured feedback
- Ability to balance accuracy with persuasion where required
- Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple requests
- Experience with transactional, billing, or lifecycle emails (Nice-to-Haves)
- Exposure to EdTech, SaaS, or service-based businesses (Nice-to-Haves)
- Familiarity with HubSpot or email platforms (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience collaborating with operations or sales teams (Nice-to-Haves)
