Job Description
Inspecting UST facilities for compliance with permit requirements at the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality. Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect UST facilities for compliance with UST operating permit requirements
- Conduct routine compliance and installation inspections of UST facilities
- Respond to citizen reports of abandoned USTs and suspected releases
- Provide information about UST rules and requirements to the regulated community
- Make oral presentations to groups of UST owners/operators for community outreach and training
Requirements:
- Must be at least 20 years of age
- Valid driver’s license required
- Bachelor's degree in agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences or a related curriculum from an accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
