Job Description

ERP data lead coordinating SAP S/4HANA migration and conversion for RTX’s aerospace and defense transformation. Driving cross-functional delivery, documentation, risk management, and cutover readiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate conversion activities and translate/document conversion requirements and detailed plans
  • Drive execution tasks with team members and stakeholders, track progress, and escalate issues
  • Follow project management processes and best practices to align tasks, activities, and resources with program and organizational goals
  • Work cross-functionally through Build Phase and support system configuration design, testing, migration, and hyper-care activities
  • Complete conversion functional specification, data mapping, cross-reference, and data model documents across multiple deployments
  • Drive conversion progress through task completion and milestone achievement against the overall timeline
  • Lead meetings with cross-functional thread leads
  • Assess team member workload and resource constraints and ensure optimal resource utilization
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor potential risks with real-time alerts for critical issues
  • Monitor and track conversion and deviation issue resolution
  • Communicate expectations and instill accountability in team members
  • Resolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams toward common goals
  • Manage multiple conversion activities, tasks, and resources through organization, prioritization, and time management
  • Handle documentation, profiling analytics, reporting, internal stakeholder communication, and process improvement for cutover activities

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience OR, in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in large scale ERP data migration and conversion, preferably within a supply chain, operations, or manufacturing environment with responsibilities related to planning, production, and aftermarket
  • Experience with multiple project methodologies including waterfall and agile Scrum methodology
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%-50% to other major RTX U.S. sites
  • CORE or equivalent, such as Six Sigma or Change Management, and project management expertise preferred
  • Experience working in a matrixed team environment with collaboration across lines of business process and digital preferred
  • SAP knowledge and prior implementation experience preferred
  • Experience with agile frameworks/iterative approaches to software development and implementation projects preferred
  • Experience managing multiple project activities concurrently within a fast-paced, demanding environment, virtually and in-person, preferred
  • Ability to lead, influence, and manage change at multiple organizational levels, including executive leadership, preferred
  • U.S. citizenship is required
