Job Description

Principal Lead Data Manager leading clinical data strategies, analysis, and governance. Supporting ICON's global clinical research organization in bringing treatments to patients faster.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee clinical data science workstreams, ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations
  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical data management strategies to optimize data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science techniques into clinical trial designs
  • Oversee clinical data analysis to provide actionable insights informing study decisions and outcomes
  • Provide strategic guidance on data governance, quality control, and regulatory compliance
  • Establish partnerships with key stakeholders to leverage advancements in data science and technology in clinical research
  • Manage competing priorities and develop the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience in clinical data science, with a strong focus on data management and analysis in clinical trials
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrix environment
  • Expertise in data analysis tools, statistical software, and data visualization techniques
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change in a complex organization
  • Willingness to travel as required (approximately 15%)
  • Legal right to work in the country where the role is based
