Job Description
Experienced Audit Associate supporting Australian external audit engagements for a small to mid-tier Australian accounting firm. Working remotely from South Africa or Zimbabwe using CaseWare.
Responsibilities:
- Work remotely from South Africa or Zimbabwe for a small to mid-tier Australian accounting firm
- Work on Australian external audit engagements
- Audit and document basic and complex audit sections
- Collaborate with the host firm's audit team
- Work across General and Commercial, and Not-for-Profit sectors
- Maintain approximately 4 hours of overlap with the host firm, depending on client requirements
Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- At least 4 years of external audit experience, or 3 years combined with an international secondment following completion of articles
- Completion of audit training or articles
- Previous experience working within a public accounting or external audit firm
- Recent external audit experience, with no more than one year away from audit
- Practical experience using CaseWare (non-negotiable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience auditing and documenting both basic and complex audit sections
- Legal right to work in the country of residence
- Access to an uninterrupted internet connection with at least 50 Mbps download and upload, latency not exceeding 30ms, and resilience during power interruptions
- DataSnipper experience is advantageous
