Job Description

Business Development Support Specialist acting as a key communication link for internal departments, vendors, and clients. Engaging in proposal development, ensuring quality standards, and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and manage effective communications between teaming partners, vendors, customers and internal departments for proposal development, capture and pricing support to win new business
  • Review major deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met
  • Ensure that client and vendor issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, resolving or escalating issues in a timely fashion to supervision and the appropriate personnel and or department
  • Negotiate vendor terms to meet both client and company needs
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships while acting as the primary contact for vendors
  • Monitor proposal and critical quote dates to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Obtain vital vendor information necessary for proposal/quote development
  • Work with Proposal Team to develop proposal responses to client opportunities and requests for proposals
  • Coordinate with Operations, Program Management and Proposal Team on proposal pricing
  • Work with Contracts and Compliance and management in the development of non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements and sub-contracts for opportunities assigned
  • Follow up with customers upon project completion to ensure satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Project Management, Interior Design, or related field preferred
  • Experience in sales, customer service, project management, interior design, and working with government contracts may be substituted for education requirements
  • High level of initiative
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Demonstrates excellent follow-up skills and ability to follow through on all responsibilities
  • High proficiency in developing interpersonal relationships and ability to communicate effectively
