Job Description

Field Service Engineer providing on-site service and support for FT-IR, NIR- and Raman-Spektroscopy systems. Roles include installation, maintenance, and user familiarization for scientific instruments in Germany.

Responsibilities:

  • National Service & Support on-site for FT-IR, NIR- and Raman-Spektroscopy systems as well as other technologies
  • Installation, repair, maintenance, upgrades, system diagnoses, relocation support
  • Process-Integration of analytical instruments
  • Network integration of analytical systems with dedicated software solutions
  • Familiarization of users with instruments and applications
  • If needed: support the remote-solution center
  • On request: support of in-house repairs
  • If needed: support with Service relevant document generation
  • Frequent travel and overnight stays are required

Requirements:

  • Customer centralized acting, thinking in solutions, accepting responsibilities and team spirit
  • Can-do-attitude!
  • Solid knowledge with all modern PC and network standards
  • Self-responsible working and time management combined with flexibility
  • Willingness to travel several days per week
  • Degree in electronics/electric/mechatronic or comparable experiences
  • Solid technical knowledge in electronics, mechanics, ideally in optics as well
  • Proven track record in FT-IR, NIR-, Raman-Spectroscopy as well as remote diagnoses and/or microscopy is a clear plus
  • Field Service experience
  • Fluent in German, solid English in speech and writing.
