Job Description
Field Service Engineer responsible for installing and maintaining histology and pathology diagnostic equipment at Leica Biosystems. Requires significant travel within Virginia with remote working options.
Responsibilities:
- Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on 1-2 groups of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instruments.
- Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, and Leica policies.
- Effectively communicate with internal colleagues and external customers within established time guidelines to meet customer’s expectations.
Requirements:
- Associates' Degree with 1+ years of experience or equivalent military experience
- Travel throughout the district - this position services Virginia and surrounding areas
- Travel is 70-90% with the possibility of overnight travel
- Holding a current valid driver’s license and meeting fleet eligibility requirements
- Troubleshooting and networking/IT system upgrades (plus experience)
- Diagnosing and repairing medical devices (plus experience)
- Field Service Engineering for electrical/mechanical/biomedical equipment or scientific instruments (plus experience)
