Job Description
Finance Manager overseeing financial operations, cash flow, and budgeting for an e-commerce footwear brand. Responsible for financial reporting and supporting strategic decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for accounts receivable and accounts payable management, including payment processing and monitoring of outstanding items
- Structured preparation of all accounting-related documents, vouchers and data for the external tax advisor
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in close cooperation with the tax advisor
- Support with payroll processing and VAT-related matters (e.g., VAT returns)
- Ensuring clean, complete and timely financial processes in day-to-day operations
- Responsibility for cash-flow planning, liquidity monitoring and short- and medium-term forecasts
- Preparation and further development of budgets, planning and profitability analyses
- Establishment, maintenance and further development of a clear KPI and reporting system (e.g., revenue, costs, contribution margins, EBITDA)
- Analysis of variances and derivation of concrete recommendations for action to improve results and profitability
- Support for management in financial decisions through sound analyses and scenario planning
- Close collaboration with purchasing, marketing and other departments on finance-related issues
- Evaluation of measures and projects from an economic perspective (e.g., costs, margins, ROI)
- Point of contact for all internal finance questions and coordination with external partners (tax advisor, banks where applicable)
- Continuous development and simplification of finance processes with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
Requirements:
- You hold a degree, e.g., in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Controlling or a comparable business-related discipline.
- You have relevant professional experience in a finance or controlling environment and have independently taken responsibility for finance topics.
- You work in a structured, careful and independent manner and take responsibility for financial matters and results.
- You have a good understanding of business-economic relationships, numerical logic and financial processes.
- You are able to draw clear conclusions from data, KPIs and analyses and to prepare well-founded decisions.
- You think not only retrospectively but proactively, particularly regarding cash flow, budgets and economic impact.
- You work reliably, prioritize effectively and maintain an overview even when handling several parallel topics.
- You communicate factually, clearly and reliably, especially on financial issues or critical topics.
- You enjoy working independently in a structured environment and do not require close supervision or constant control.
- You are interested in a long-term collaboration and in taking lasting responsibility for finance within the company.
