Job Description
Financial Accountant managing general ledger accounting for multiple EMEA entities at SonicWall. Working with external auditors and tax advisors for timely reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the General Ledger accounting for assigned EMEA entities
- Responsible for identifying, posting, and reviewing transactions as part of the month-end close
- Responsible for the accounting and reporting requirements under U.S. and local GAAP
- Monitor and support closure of sub-ledgers for assigned entities
- Perform & review monthly account reconciliations using the Cadency software application
- Responsible for the preparation of robust bridge reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP
- Managing the associated local tax reporting
- Analytical review of data and answering queries arising from your local reporting director and/or the corporate US office
- The development of strong relationships with key stakeholders globally
- Liaise with external auditors as part of the group or statutory audit process
- Assisting with the implementation of Budgetary Controls & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and internal controls
- Periodic VAT and other direct assistance with tax returns compliance for assigned entities
- Continuous promotion of ideas and process improvements
- Involved in ad hoc projects
Requirements:
- ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA qualified
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and European statutory/tax reporting requirements
- Experience with Oracle or equivalent ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- 3+ years Industry PQE
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and cross functionally but also a self-starter
- Flexibility with regard to working hours during quarter-end and year-end
