Job Description
Financial Systems Analyst supporting Lodestar Consulting’s Air Force financial-management operations. Analyzing, reconciling, and correcting accounting transactions across DoD financial systems.
Responsibilities:
- Serve and interact with DAF Major Commands and bases in support of day-to-day Financial Management operations
- Analyze, reconcile, and correct transactions to account for accounting discrepancies
- Navigate Air Force accounting systems and feeder systems to perform data entry and data correction
- Analyze financial data using Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Power BI
- Analyze and resolve accounting issues identified by Financial Management customers
- Support other SAF/FMF teams, including surge and end-of-year processes
- Provide targeted user assistance based on metrics, recurring critical task results, and other data analysis
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Air Force Financial Management experience
- Experience in Department of Defense Financial Management processes and procedures for posting accounting entries
- Ability to brief and communicate effectively with senior leaders and managers
- Familiarity with Air Force Lines of Accounting and financial data elements
- Experience reconciling contract/obligation documents
- Experience reviewing miscellaneous collection and disbursement vouchers
- Experience reconciling D-to-O balancing
- Experience reviewing an Open Document Listing
- Experience researching dormant obligations
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Azure, or HighBond
- Familiarity with Access Online (AXOL), Advana, Central Disbursing System (CDS), Commander's Resource Integration System (CRIS), Defense Cash Management System (DCMS), Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS), Deployable Disbursing System (DDS), Defense Transaction Interface Module (DTIM), Financial Management Suite (FMSuite), General Accounting and Finance System Base Level (GAFS-BL), GAFS-Re-Engineered (GAFS-R), Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS), Intra-governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC), Mechanization of Contract Administration System (MOCAS), Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), Reserve Travel System (RTS), Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline, or equivalent experience
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
