Job Description
Frontend Developer creating performant and user-friendly Shopify stores with Liquid and JavaScript. Collaborating with UX/UI teams and backend developers for optimal solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of custom Shopify storefronts using Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS and JavaScript
- Further development and performance optimization of existing themes
- Development of modular components and templates for scalable frontend projects
- Support for complex projects using modern technologies
- Close collaboration with UX/UI design and backend teams
- Testing and quality assurance (responsiveness, SEO, Lighthouse, etc.)
- Technical consulting on implementing client requirements and best practices
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and JavaScript
- Experience developing or customizing Shopify themes
- Understanding of responsive web design, accessibility and performance
- Experience with Git and modern toolchains (e.g., Shopify CLI, ThemeKit, VS Code, Cursor)
- Good sense for UX, conversion and the “flow” within a shop
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment — reliable, organized and structured
- Confident communication in German and English
