Job Description
GIS Analyst analyzing geospatial data and OSP fiber designs for Tillman FiberCo’s digital infrastructure network. Creating maps, audits, and engineering performance analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze geospatial data related to proposed OSP designs
- Create maps, reports, and visualizations for OSP design, planning, and permitting
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory and standards compliance
- Interface with internal and external teams regarding market analytics
- Support issued market order audits
- Audit and maintain SFU/MDU OSP as-built records, permits, fiber testing, JHA conformance, and payment records in Sitetracker
- Collect, organize, and analyze maps, aerial imagery, land-use data, permits, and other relevant GIS data in QGIS
- Forecast engineering design progress and perform KPI/SLA data analytics regarding engineering performance
- Analyze GIS data to assess feasibility, cost, and design impact of proposed OSP fiber builds
- Create and maintain accurate GIS maps, drawings, and related OSP design and as-built data
- Collaborate with OSP engineers and team members to capture project requirements and goals in Tillman’s GIS system
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience working with GIS tools and software, such as ArcGIS or QGIS
- 3 years of experience in OSP fiber optic design
- Highly skilled in development of databases and deploying map services
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to OSP design
