Job Description
Mid-level GIS Developer building ArcGIS applications, ETL workflows, and spatial databases for Cobec’s aviation-related government projects. Supporting FAA-focused geospatial solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and management of geospatial solutions for aviation-related projects using the ESRI ArcGIS platform
- Build and configure ArcGIS Online applications, including Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123, and QuickCapture
- Develop and maintain automated data processing workflows and ETL routines using Python, SQL, or equivalent tools
- Move and prepare geospatial and tabular data from multiple sources
- Design and build ArcGIS Survey123 forms for field data collection
- Integrate field data results into enterprise GIS solutions
- Develop and maintain custom web mapping solutions using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript or other web technologies
- Design and implement relational database structures such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS
- Store and query spatial and non-spatial data
- Document technical processes
- Present analysis results
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliverables
Requirements:
- 4–6 equivalent years of experience in Geographical Information Systems, web development, operations research, modeling and simulation, or technical analysis
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Geospatial Science, Computer Science, Geography, Urban Development, Data Science, or similar
- Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years
- Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance, including a soft credit check and criminal background check
- Experience configuring ArcGIS field applications
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro is required
- Experience with ArcGIS Experience Builder and/or Dashboards is required
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript is desired
- Experience with custom web application development is desired
- Experience creating automated workflows and ETL processes using Python is desired
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources (APIs, cloud storage, flat files) is desired
- Experience with pSQL/relational databases is desired
- Experience with Python, Java and Power Platform is desired
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Shiny, Tableau, Cold Fusion is desired
- Specific experience with the FAA or aviation industry is desired
- Occasional travel required as needed by client/s and/or company
