Job Description
Controller at Egen managing day-to-day accounting functions and supporting strategic initiatives. Establishing scalable processes as the company grows in a data-first environment.
Responsibilities:
- Own and lead all day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, monthly close, consolidation, financial reporting, and compliance
- Establish and refine scalable processes and internal controls to support a growing, global services business
- Manage external audits, tax filings, and compliance matters in partnership with third-party providers
- Build and lead a high-performing accounting team, providing mentorship and development while driving accountability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, legal, HR, operations, and delivery to ensure financial accuracy and alignment
- Support the integration of acquisitions, including systems, policies, and reporting standards
- Contribute to ERP implementation and automation efforts that drive efficiency and real-time visibility
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CFO and the FP&A team, bringing insights, solutions, and financial leadership to key initiatives
Requirements:
- CPA strongly preferred; Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, ideally in technology consulting, professional services, or SaaS
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Familiarity with global operations, intercompany transactions, and currency considerations
- Demonstrated success optimizing financial systems. Certinia expertise is preferred but a solid track record with other ERP systems is important
- Good understanding of purchase price allocation accounting (M&A)
- Experience managing audits, tax compliance, and multi-entity consolidations
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and scale accounting teams across different geographies (US and India)
