Job Description

Head of Corporate Finance managing cash flow, treasury, reporting, and insurance risk for Canopy Growth, a global cannabis and hemp company. Owning planning cycles and partnering with executives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Finance Business Partner for central support functions
  • Own SG&A budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for corporate functions
  • Execute standardized monthly and quarterly reporting to executive leadership and the board of directors
  • Liaise with finance counterparts across Canopy’s Canada, International, and Storz & Bickel portfolio businesses
  • Own consolidated annual budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning cycles
  • Identify organizational cost-saving opportunities
  • Leverage systems and technology to improve automation and efficiency
  • Support potential acquisitions through due diligence and financial support
  • Manage the company’s three-statement financial model
  • Oversee weekly cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
  • Manage the Treasury Management System and daily cash position reporting
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate and timely payments and collections
  • Maintain banking relationships and coordinate debt and interest payments
  • Monitor compliance with debt covenants
  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of the corporate insurance program
  • Manage annual insurance renewals with brokers and carriers
  • Partner with legal, finance, IT, operations, and HR stakeholders to assess business risks and insurance needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent required
  • CPA/MBA certification or equivalent strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience in finance, accounting, treasury, or risk roles
  • Cannabis industry knowledge preferred
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Strong analytical, research, and business acumen skills
  • Ability to communicate and influence all organizational levels
  • Comfort working through ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment
  • Initiative and results orientation
  • Experience presenting to and maintaining relationships with executive-level management
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to build productive relationships
  • Proficiency in planning, prioritization, and project management
  • Occasional travel required
