Job Description
Head of FP&A owning financial models, forecasting, and KPI planning at tem, an AI-native infrastructure company transforming electricity transactions. Building agent-assisted finance workflows for transparent, efficient energy markets.
Responsibilities:
- Own tem’s financial model, including its structure, assumptions, upkeep, and use as the single source of truth for planning
- Run the monthly performance-versus-plan cycle for every part of the business
- Build independent variance analysis from actuals
- Own the monthly cash runway forecast update with the VP of Financial Performance
- Maintain forward-looking KPIs that guide leadership decisions
- Translate financial variances into actionable insights
- Own quarterly and annual planning on behalf of Finance
- Codify planning logic into repeatable, agent-assisted AI workflows
- Partner closely with the VP of Financial Performance
- Support board reporting and investor conversations
Requirements:
- Proven FP&A experience owning a financial model and monthly performance-versus-plan cycle
- Background in a complex business such as fintech, energy, commodities, or oil & gas
- Genuine understanding of financial markets
- Independent operating style, building an independent view from raw actuals
- Excellent data analysis skills and experience working with messy data
- Comfortable building AI- and agent-assisted workflows into planning processes
- Energy sector experience desirable
- Scale-up or VC-backed company experience desirable
- Experience supporting board reporting and investor conversations desirable
