Job Description
Health Screener conducting wellness, phlebotomy and surveillance screenings for Medmark, a national occupational-health provider. Traveling to client sites nationwide and maintaining accurate electronic health records.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct wellness screenings on site with clients
- Collect blood samples
- Measure blood pressure, pulse, height, weight and waist circumference
- Conduct surveillance, audiometry, spirometry and VDU screenings
- Set up and take down pop-up screening clinics at client sites
- Clean and maintain screening equipment
- Ensure medical waste is stored and disposed of appropriately
- Provide general advice on healthy living practices where required
- Use Medmark’s software system to record accurate client assessment records
Requirements:
- Appropriate qualifications in nursing, phlebotomy and/or health surveillance
- Proven experience with phlebotomy
- Appropriate qualifications for administering vaccinations are desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, empathy and listening skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills, including time management
- Proven track record of prioritizing key tasks and delivering to a high professional standard
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Access to own transport is essential
- Garda vetted
- Flexibility to work at client sites nationwide
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good IT skills and experience with electronic health records
