Job Description
Supervising food service operations and employees at Qavartarvik Customer Lodge in Alaska. Ensuring quality service, cleanliness, and training staff during rotational shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise employees and oversee the preparation of various food items at the Café and Restaurant inside the Qavartarvik Customer Lodge.
- Supervise serving of meals in the café.
- Inspect the serving and dining areas and utensils and equipment to ensure cleanliness.
- Provide high quality service to the guests.
- Train assigned workers and coordinate work to promote efficiency of operations.
- Maintain HAACP records.
- Manage high stock levels in all resale merchandise.
- Monitor associate files and uniform standards.
- Handle guest problems and complaints.
- Responsible for posting retail signage and ensuring menu boards are up to date.
- Complete food orders or items.
- Support an effective safety program and ensure sanitation compliance.
Requirements:
- High school graduation or GED equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of demonstrated supervisory skills supervising at least five (5) or more people.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- ServSafe certification within 60 days of employment.
- This contract requires a flu shot be administered pre-hire and annually thereafter.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy.
