Job Description
Immigration Attorney managing high-volume U.S. immigration cases in a remote, client-facing role. Overseeing case progress and ensuring compliance with tight deadlines and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned immigration cases from intake through filing and resolution.
- Maintain a minimum 95% on-time filing rate based on mutually agreed deadlines with clients.
- Communicate with clients clearly and professionally, responding to inquiries within 24 business hours.
- Set, manage, and meet client expectations throughout the lifecycle of each case.
- Prepare for and attend client interviews in Buffalo and other locations as assigned.
- Deliver weekly progress reports detailing case activity and status.
- Independently manage cases without principal attorney review after the first 90 days.
- Maintain 100% accuracy in filings and strict adherence to internal drafting, review, and filing protocols.
- Calendar and manage all deadlines using online systems, with deadlines reviewed during weekly meetings.
- Draft applications within 10–14 business days after receiving complete documentation.
- Complete full applications within four weeks after attorney fees, application fees, and signed agreements are received.
- Actively monitor federal agency portals and online systems for case updates and communications.
- Proactively reduce RFEs by addressing common issues during initial filings.
- Begin direct client management after the initial three-month ramp-up period.
- Contribute to written and video content such as blogs, FAQs, and educational materials.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience practicing U.S. immigration law.
- Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-moving legal environment.
- Strong client-facing communication skills.
- High level of accountability, organization, and follow-through.
- Tech-savvy approach, including experience with Lawmatics, online USCIS filing, and immigration portals.
- U.S. Bar admission is a plus but not required.
- Experience independently managing cases end to end.
- Strong attention to detail with a zero-error mindset.
- Ability to balance productivity, compliance, and client satisfaction simultaneously.
