Job Description
Interior Designer creating DIRTT industrialized-construction environments using Design Editor, AutoCAD, and Revit. Guiding clients and project teams from concept through pre-construction and final deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Review space plans with the project team
- Design client projects using Design Editor, populating DIRTT spaces from scratch or from AutoCAD or Revit files
- Work with architects, design firms, and clients to determine and finalize DIRTT scope
- Lead and own pre-construction responsibilities during early project stages
- Assist in creating pricing packages and renderings in Design Editor
- Understand site conditions and design around issues
- Integrate Design Editor files into Revit/BIM360 for coordination
- Review order files and deliverables before DIRTT entry
- Provide technical and design guidance as a subject matter expert
- Work with DIRTT departments to ensure project success
- Identify solutions for client design and installation issues
- Complete revisions to Design Editor files and DIRTT shop drawings
- Create visual renderings and 3D fly-throughs
- Serve as DIRTT point of contact for project teams, factory, field representatives, and technicians
- Maintain knowledge of DIRTT standards, finishes, and Design Editor best practices
- Develop and update design documentation
- Share project knowledge with the DIRTT design team
- Track and maintain billable hours by task and project
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of DIRTT experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting architectural drawings and sketches
- Prior experience and strong knowledge of Design Editor
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Previous experience working on technical projects
- Proficient with Windows, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Deadline-oriented with excellent attention to detail
- High sense of urgency, strong time management skills, and ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing may be required
- Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a background check, where permitted by law
- NCIDQ, LEED, or EDAC certifications are considered an asset
