Job Description
Payments and digital finance intern supporting Genesis Analytics’ inclusive payment strategies across Africa. Conducting research, data analysis, client deliverables, and proposal development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct primary and secondary research to support project deliverables
- Produce research outputs, including data collection, literature reviews, and landscape analyses
- Contribute to client deliverables under supervision
- Meet deadlines and communicate proactively when challenges arise
- Support proposal development through research, data gathering, and drafting assigned sections
- Prepare concept notes and presentation slides for client pitches
- Assist with business development activities as directed by senior team members
- Participate in at least one working group, such as Recruitment, Partnership, Communication, or PR
- Contribute to working group initiatives and deliverables
- Develop foundational knowledge in payments and digital financial services
- Seek feedback and incorporate it into work
- Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of digital payment strategies and initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline
- Excellent academic record
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and a meticulous approach to data and analysis
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong, demonstrable interest in payment systems, digital finance, and digital financial inclusion
- Passionate, self-motivated, and energetic
- Integrity and ethical behaviour
- Fast learner with curiosity and initiative
