Job Description
Senior full-stack engineer building Vue and TypeScript industry experiences for HighLevel’s AI-powered business operating system. Owning interactive interfaces, APIs, performance, and scalable workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Build rich, interactive industry experiences in Vue 3 and TypeScript
- Design reusable, configurable UI components for industry-specific objects, fields, and workflows
- Lead technical design of frontend-heavy features and translate product and design concepts into high-quality interfaces
- Evaluate frontend and full stack architectural trade-offs across UX, performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Own frontend performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile web
- Build and extend APIs using Node.js/NestJS, with Firestore, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis as data layers
- Handle real-time and asynchronous UI states, live updates, optimistic updates, background job status, and conflict handling
- Collaborate with core platform and app teams to reuse and improve shared components and design system patterns
- Own the full development lifecycle for significant features: technical design, building, testing, deploying, measuring, and maintaining
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance
- Work closely with product, design, domain experts, and core platform teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend architecture and complex web applications
- Deep expertise in Vue (Vue 3 preferred) or a comparable modern framework
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience building complex interactive UI, such as drag-and-drop, canvas or SVG rendering, calendars and timelines, or data-dense dashboards
- Strong understanding of state management, component architecture, and frontend performance optimization
- Solid backend skills including API design, data modeling, and Node.js; NestJS is a plus
- Experience with real-time data and async workflows
- Strong eye for UX, accessibility, and detail
- Openness to using AI tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code
- Curiosity about different industries and comfort learning from non-technical domain experts
- Experience with canvas libraries such as Konva, Fabric.js, or PixiJS is a bonus
- Experience building design systems or shared component libraries is a bonus
- Experience with metadata-driven or schema-driven UI is a bonus
- Background in vertical SaaS or industry-specific products is a bonus
- Familiarity with GCP services such as Cloud Functions and Pub/Sub is a bonus
- Experience with frontend testing, including unit, component, and end-to-end testing, is a bonus
