Job Description
IT Data Governance Expert ensuring integrity, security, and compliance of IT data assets for Hitachi Energy. Defining governance frameworks and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain IT data governance frameworks, policies, dictionaries and standards
- Ensure compliance and act as IT Domain Data Steward
- Oversee and improve data quality, classification, and lifecycle processes
- Define and enforce data access and security measures in collaboration with the ServiceNOW team
- Align governance with business needs and deliver training and awareness on best practices
- Conduct data risk assessments, support privacy initiatives, monitor compliance, and report on governance KPIs to senior leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in data governance, IT data management, or compliance roles
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, metadata management, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency with ServiceNow Data suite, including CMDB, CSDM, Health-score, and Data Governance
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and teams
- Fluent English is a must.
