Job Description

Technical Program Manager developing Advocate Health’s Epic Factory AI Program and clinical application strategy. Leading complex healthcare technology initiatives, workflows, and change adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer the Epic Factory AI Program
  • Lead cross-application strategic initiatives under the AVP of Clinical Applications for Strategic Projects & AI
  • Work with IT leadership and business units to develop business cases and requirements for technology-related business problems
  • Support business relationship management, business strategy and planning, and portfolio/demand management
  • Maintain productive relationships across IT and business functions
  • Articulate business value and strategy and coordinate across IT to achieve operational excellence
  • Research industry practices and performance metrics
  • Coordinate and monitor project activities and provide technical direction to project teams
  • Analyze project portfolio initiatives and identify measurable outcomes
  • Implement processes and tools to measure project benefits
  • Mentor and coach IT staff on workflows and functionality for new and enhanced systems and processes
  • Participate in analyst technical skill development and provide input to performance reviews and development objectives
  • Create business process mappings showing system and workflow interdependencies
  • Support risk mitigation, communication plans, implementation strategies, work plans, and scope management

Requirements:

  • Epic EHR certified professional with deep, hands-on experience across core applications
  • Epic clinical application certification required (e.g., Ambulatory, Orders, ClinDoc, etc.)
  • Experience with Epic clinical applications and years of experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
  • Typically requires 7 years in progressively responsible information systems experience with technical or project management exposure
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, healthcare standards, and end-to-end workflow design
  • Experience leading complex, high-visibility projects from concept through execution
  • Track record of delivering strategic initiatives, including emerging and AI-enabled healthcare solutions
  • Expertise in change management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to develop functional requirements, risk assessments, cost estimates, plans, and delivery tracking
  • Ability to create effective presentations and documentation
  • Ability to solve unusual, complex, and ambiguous problems using judgment and creativity
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and mentor team members
  • Ability to influence and direct work teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Must be located in one of the listed eligible states
  • No sponsorship or transfer of visa
